About Us

About Us

We Only Want To Be Christians. Our goal is to only be what we can read about in the New Testament. The bible tells us that "the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch" (Acts 11:26). Since no denominational names are found in the bible we do not wear a denominational name. We believe that the bible is the inspired and inerrant word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17 ). We try to follow the word of God to the best of our ability. We have no human creeds or doctrines and only use the bible as our source of authority. We Invite You To Investigate Us. We encourage open and honest investigation of what we do. The bible teaches that we should "test" the teachers (1 John 4:1). Why would we want you to investigate what we teach? Because men have made additions to the worship and practice of those who profess to be Christians. Many of the changes that have been made, and are currently being made, are things that appeal to man and not to God. Our obedience, or disobedience, to God will determine where we will live for eternity (2 Corinthians 5:10). The Gospel Is For All. We believe that every human being deserves to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20). It is our hope that you would like to study the bible with us. The bible teaches that God has implemented a plan to save the souls of men and women. His plan involves faith and that faith is produced by hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17); faith will lead to repentance (Luke 13:3); then one must be willing to confess their faith in Jesus (Romans 10:10); then one must be baptized in water for the remission of their sins (Acts 2:38; Acts 8:36-39). Now, as a child of God, one must live faithfully to God all their life (Revelation 2:10). On The First Day Of The Week. We strive to worship God as the 1st century Christians did. We assemble on the first day of the week (Sunday) and sing, pray, eat the Lord's Supper, lay by in store as God has prospered us and hear a sermon from the word of God. (Ephesians 5:19; Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:1-2). All the things we do in our worship to God, we have authority to do from Him (Colossians 3:17). What To Expect When You Visit Us. You will be treated as an honored guest. We will not do anything to intimidate or embarrass you. We will not solicit any money from you. We believe that it is the responsibility of the members to fund the work of the church financially. We do, however, invite you to participate with us in our other worship activities. We sincerely invite you, and welcome you, to visit with us at any of our assemblies.
